What to expect during your treatment?

For 24 hours before your treatment, you will need to avoid sun exposure and use of topical products that contain retinol, vitamin A, or alpha hydroxy acids. Before your treatment, we may apply a numbing ointment for your comfort. We will customize the device settings to your specific skin thickness and treated area and then gently sweep the device across the treatment area. The whole treatment typically only takes about 30 minutes. After your treatment is complete, we will place a soothing gel on your face to help prevent your skin from becoming dried out.

Results and aftercare

You should expect some redness (similar to a sunburn) after treatment, and your skin may also experience some swelling, tightness, itching, peeling, dryness, roughness, tenderness, burning, or discomfort for a few days after your treatment. We will go over what to expect in detail before your treatment and over your aftercare instructions with you to ensure that you achieve the maximum benefits from the procedure with minimal downtime. That may include using a post-treatment skin care regimen designed to support your skin’s health after the procedure.

In general, excessive perspiration or strenuous exercise is not recommended for 72 hours after your treatment, and you should also avoid sun exposure.
