When patients are seeking minimally-invasive treatment options for their skin, they are encouraged to take the time to learn about solutions such as Radiesse. However, this is not the only injectable treatment available at our facility. Dr. Tatiana Khrom is pleased to offer a wide range of services for patient consideration. If patients are not appropriate candidates for Radiesse, other cosmetic treatments may be advised, as well as the use of neuromodulators and dermal fillers. During the first consultation appointment, all options are discussed, and patients are advised as to the pros and cons of each, so they can make an educated decision regarding how they will pursue a more youthful appearance with our team.
Some patients hear “cosmetic injectables” and immediately think of popular brands and products such as Botox. Botox and Radiesse are different in several ways. Botox is a neuromodulator, which works differently from a filler such as Radiesse. Neuromodulators are medications that are injected into muscles, which cause them to relax and therefore smooth the skin above them. Radiesse, on the other hand, is used directly in the fine lines and wrinkles to add volume and smooth the skin. Both are cosmetic injectables offered at Khrom Dermatology and Aesthetics, but they are not the same. During a consultation appointment, our team can discuss the differences between the two and help patients make an educated decision as to which is best for their needs.
Some patients who have more severe cases of volume loss and skin laxity may still be better suited for cosmetic plastic surgery. There comes a point where the changes are so severe that injectables will be unable to provide results. Our professionals are well-connected to other medical professionals in the community and can provide referrals to trusted plastic surgeons for patients to visit and consult with to consider their best treatment option. Radiesse and other cosmetic injectables are more appropriate for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity and volume loss. In some situations, plastic surgery may be best.
Dr. Tatiana Khrom of Brooklyn, NY welcome patients in and around the community to their practice to discuss injectables such as Radiesse, including neuromodulators and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Our practice is conveniently located at 2797 Ocean Parkway and can be reached at 718-615-4002 for an appointment. We encourage men and women who are seeking long-term cosmetic enhancement of their facial area to ask for Radiesse by name or consult with our team to determine what other solutions are readily available for facial enhancement. We accept new patients in our facility.
